The Rehabilitation ward The ward is run by a competent and skilled staff that customs an individual rehabilitation program per patient and ensures a full cooperation for its implementation among the various professional workers as well as the patient and family members. The ward houses patients that are rehabilitating from strokes, orthopedic surgery and joint replacements, spinal operations, amputations and prosthesis fitting. The rehabilitation process is effective and results can be seen within a reasonable timeframe.
At the Complex Nursing wards, which have been active for the past 10 years, all patients are fitted with a care program matching their capabilities, to be implemented by the entire staff. Patients requiring improvement of functions, re-establishment during recovery or strengthening so they could return to their homes receive physical and occupational therapies based on their needs and capabilities, in addition to the medical treatment and care.
Patients requiring palliative or supportive care and management of pain or terminal disease symptoms are provided with emotional support as well as individual and focused care designed to ease their suffering; this care includes guidance and support for family members.
The Complex Nursing ward also houses geriatric patients who require dialysis, a procedure provided at an institute located within Bet Hadar and operated by the Affek Company.
The Ventilation wards provide treatment for chronically ventilated patients who are to be weaned from the ventilators during hospitalization. Any patient with the potential for weaning and rehabilitation can enjoy all treatment aspects provided by the skilled and devoted staff and the advanced equipment held by Bet Hadar, including innovative ventilators fit to meet the patients’ needs. Patients requiring prolonged ventilation without weaning potential, accordingly receive prolonged nursing and supportive care. Mobile machines enable the patients to leave their rooms to the ward’s lobby and balcony (in accordance with the patient’s medical status).

The staff at each and every ward consists of physicians, nurses, orderlies, physical therapists, occupational therapists, a social worker, a nutritionist, a speech therapist and a recreational therapist.
